Important Information and FAQs about Lifeline’s Courses
How Long will My Class Take?
The times below are approximate, and even though we try hard to maintain class timetables, are not guaranteed:
- ACLS and PALS course at 6 hours.
- BLS Healthcare Provider Class at 4 hours
- BLS Skills check off at 45 minutes
- First Aid with CPR at 5 hours
The American Heart Association now requires that you take and bring with you a copy of the ACLS or PALS Course Pre-test successful completion . Good news – it allows you to retake the exam if you need more practice!

BLS CPR Certification/Renewal at class via Skills Check-Off (**Optional**)
If you are looking to certify or renew your BLS CPR card at the time of an ACLS or PALS class, please visit:
Current AHA cost for the online BLS component, “HeartCode BLS” (as of 9/1/16) is $28.50. The cost for the Skills Check-Off is $30, payable to Lifeline on the day of the course.
You must bring a copy of the “Successful Course Completion Certificate” to the class to qualify for the Skills Check-Off and BLS certificate.
